10:30am first races, 12K/24K Classic and Freestyle races, HS and MS races.
Forecast/conditions: Friday night low around 0F, with race time temps warming to upper single digits, partly sunny skies and light winds. Some thin, dirty spots on course.
Adults/non-HS or MS racers: Apply Magic Green non-fluorinated molybdenum wax, or LF10 Green. Scrape and brush. Apply HF10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair, and hard nylon brush. For topcoat, rub on HF13 block, and iron through a sheet of fiberlene. Apply a 2nd layer of HF13, and iron again, particularly for individuals doing the 24K race. After ski has cooled, hand-cork with a natural cork and brush with a dedicated fluor polishing brush. Re-brush after testing.
HS/MS racers: Apply Magic Green non-fluor molybdenum wax, scrape and brush. Apply SG10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair and stiff nylon brush. Re-brush after testing/warming up on skis.
Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply thin layer of Base klister, and iron in. Smooth with a cork and clean edges and groove. Let cool and apply Blue Klister in a thin covering layer. After Blue klister has cooled, add 2 thin layers of Tar Green or Synthetic Green
Alternate Grip: If Tar Green and Synthetic Green are too draggy, then consider apply Tar Black or Synthetic Black, for very cold conditions.
