Glidewax: Apply Magic Green, scrape and brush. Apply LF10 or MF10 Green, scraped and brushed with metal, horsehair and stiff nylon brushes. Topcoat: HF13 block crayoned on, and ironed through a sheet of fiberlene. Let cool, hand-cork and after cooling, polish with a designated fluor polishing brush. RE-brush after testing/warming up.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzones. Apply thin Layer of Base wax. Apply several thin layers of Synthetic Green, and then cover with several layers of Synthetic Black or Tar Black. Klister option: Base klister ironed in, and covered after cooling with Blue Klister. Apply 2 thin layers of Synthetic Black or Tar Black, corked lightly.

Glidewax: Apply LF10 Green, scrape and brush. Apply MF10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair, and stiff nylon brush.

Forecast/conditions: Friday night low around 0F, with race time temps warming to upper single digits, partly sunny skies and light winds. Some thin, dirty spots on course.

Glidewax:

Adults/non-HS or MS racers: Apply Magic Green non-fluorinated molybdenum wax, or LF10 Green. Scrape and brush. Apply HF10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair, and hard nylon brush. For topcoat, rub on HF13 block, and iron through a sheet of fiberlene. Apply a 2nd layer of HF13, and iron again, particularly for individuals doing the 24K race. After ski has cooled, hand-cork with a natural cork and brush with a dedicated fluor polishing brush. Re-brush after testing.

HS/MS racers: Apply Magic Green non-fluor molybdenum wax, scrape and brush. Apply SG10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair and stiff nylon brush. Re-brush after testing/warming up on skis.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply thin layer of Base klister, and iron in. Smooth with a cork and clean edges and groove. Let cool and apply Blue Klister in a thin covering layer. After Blue klister has cooled, add 2 thin layers of Tar Green or Synthetic Green

Alternate Grip: If Tar Green and Synthetic Green are too draggy, then consider apply Tar Black or Synthetic Black, for very cold conditions.

Forecast/conditions: Overnight low around 0F, temps at race start 5F. Firm, natural snow. Mostly cloudy skies, 30% chance of light snow.

Glidewax: Apply LF10 Green, scrape and brush. Apply MF10, HF10 or HFxt Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair and stiff nylon brush. For topcoat, rub on a layer of HF13 block. and iron through a sheet of fiberlene. Let ski cool, and add a second rubbed-on layer of HF13. Iron again, and after ski has cooled, hand-cork. Let ski cool again, and polish with a dedicated fluor polishing brush. Rebrush after testing/warming up.

Gripwax: Clean and sand bases. Apply a thin layer of Base Wax, and cork smooth, making sure to clean any Base off of ski edges and out of groove. Apply 2 layers of Synthetic Green, followed by 2 layers of Synthetic Black.

Glidewax: Apply MAGIC Green non-fluorinated molybdenum base wax. Scrape and brush. Apply SG10 Green, scrape and brush, starting with metal brush, then horsehair, then stiff nylon.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply a thin layer of Base wax, and cork smooth. Apply 3 layers of Synthetic Green, corking between layers. If not enough grip, add Synthetic Blue underneath the toe. Black Magic Molybdenum Non-Fluor grip may be a good cover option.

Forecast/conditions: Overnight low of 22, temps rising to 28F by race start. Manmade snow. Partly cloudy w/20% chance of light overnight snow.

Glidewax: Apply BM6 Green or LF8 Blue, scraped while still warm. Apply HF6, scrape and brush. If no new snow overnight, then apply BM4 instead of HF6.

Topcoat: Crayon HF11 block onto the ski base. Iron into the base through a sheet of fiberlene. After ironed HF11 cools, hand-cork and polish.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply thin layer of Base Extra wax with torch or iron, and cork smooth. Allow to cool, recork lightly, and apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue. Then apply 2 layers of Oslo Racing Super, using the dab and twist method of application. Allow to cool, then apply a thin layer of FHF60 grip, again using the dab and twist method. Cork lightly.

Gripwax:

Base: Roughen grip-zone with 150grit sandpaper. Iron in Start Base Klister. 

Grip: Apply a layer of Start Purple Klister mixed with MFW Red Klister. After corking and cooling, apply a layer of RF Red or FHF60 Red, corking carefully to avoid mixing the hardwax and klister.

Grip. Apply a layer of Start Universal Wide Klister, possibly mixed under the toe with Start Special Klister. Cork smooth and let cool. Finally, apply a thin layer of Black Magic hard wax, and cork smooth without blending it into the klister layer.
