Glide testing conducted today on the course:
-3 C snow
+3 C Air, cooled to 0C
New snow falling intermittently on the track
1. LF8, FHF2, SFR30 ironed in, brushed and polished
2. LF8, FHF4, FHF5 (powder) ironed, brushed and polished with FHF3 liquid on top. Allowed liquid to dry, brushed and polished.
These two applications were close in feel, free all along the course with the SFR 30 gliding slightly better. I would anticipate that with new snow around 0 C the SFR30 will continue to out glide the other applications. SFR30 got faster over the course of the testing.
If the snow stops and the grooming mixes in the new snow I would anticipate that the FHF5/FHF application will have the edge.
Also tested were:
3. BM6, HF04, BM7, with BMR9 (liquid) on top
4.BM6, HF02, BMR5
5. LF8, HF02, FHF5 powder with FHF1 drops mixed in.
