Glidewax:

Base: LF8 Blue

GLider: HF8 or HFxt Blue.

Topcoat: HF13 and HF11 Blocks, rubbed on, then ironed together through a sheet of fiberlene. Let cool and cork.

Option 2. Add HFxt Blue Finishing Gel, to the HF11 and HF13 layer, and cork. Polish. HFxt Blue Finishing Gel is also good by itself over the HF8 paraffin layer.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply a layer of Base Wax, and iron into the gripzone. Clean excess Base from grooves and edges. Let cool and cork smooth. Apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue. If Temps are warming into upper or mid 20s, then apply a layer of RF Red, covered with a layer of RF Blue. If temps staying in low 20s, then apply 2 layers of RF Blue only.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply Base Wax, and iron into the gripzone. Wipe excess Base off with fiberlene. Let cool, cork, and apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue, covered with 2 layers of Synthetic Green, or Tar Green.

Apply 2 layers of Synthetic Green, then 3 more layers of Synthetic Black, or Tar Black.

Forecast/conditions: Saturday overnight cloudy, lows 5F. Sunday mostly cloudy, 40% chance of snow. Snow temp higher on race course. PB groomed, mix of transformed, granular and packed powder.

Glidewax: Apply LF10 Green, scrape and brush. Apply MF10 or HF10 Green, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair, and stiff nylon brush. For topcoat, rub on a layer of HF13 block, and iron through a sheet of fiberlene. After ski has cooled, rub on a 2nd layer of HF13 and hand cork. Polish with a dedicated fluor polishing brush.

Gripwax: Clean and sand bases. Apply a thin layer of Blue Klister, ironing into the base, and cork smooth. Let cool and apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue. Cover with 2 layers of RF Blue. MFW Blue or BM Fluor applied lightly and corked smooth could be an excellent additive.

Gripwax: Clean and sand bases. Apply thin layer of Base Wax, and let cool. Smooth with a cork, and apply 2-3 Layers of Synthetic Blue. Finish with a layer of MFW Blue .

Topcoat: Rub on thin layer of HF13 block and roto-cork. Apply a 2nd thin layer of HF13, and hand cork. Brush out with designated fluor brushes.

Gripwax: Clean and sand bases. Apply a thin, thin layer of Base Wax, heated with iron. Apply 2-3 layers of Synthetic Blue, covered with a layer of FHF80 Blue grip. Alt: MFW Blue on top of Synthetic Blue could be excellent, with great grip and Glide. Oslo Super Racing Green is another option on top of the Synthetic Blue.

Forecast/conditions: Friday overnight low of 6F, warming to upper teens by race start. Windy. Rain and warm temps on thursday will make for icy conditions as snow cools on Friday. Saturday night, 40% chance of snow showers, continuing on through Sunday. Saturday night low of 9, with a high of 29F on Sunday. Race start mid upper teens, by 11am low 20s.

Glidewax: Apply LF10 Green, scrape and brush. Apply HF10, scrape and brush, using metal, horsehair and nylon brushes.

Topcoat: Rub on a layer of HF13 block, and iron it at 150C through a sheet of fiberlene. Apply a 2nd thin layer of HF13 after the base has cooled, and hand-cork. Brush out with designated fluor brush.

Gripwax: If new snow, use Base or Base Extra Wax, dabbed onto the base, smoothed out and ironed into the base. Let cool, and apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue into the base, covered with 2 layers of RF Blue. Cover with Tar Blue.

IF no new snow, and icy ground up snow, apply thin layer of Base Klister, and Iron into the base. Cork smooth, and Apply a thin layer of Blue and Purple Klister blended together. Smooth, and let cool. Finish with 2 layer of Oslo Blue or MFW Blue, or BM Non-fluor.

Glidewax: Apply base of BM6, ABM4 or LF8. Scrape and brush. Apply HF8, scrape and brush with metal, horsehair and hard nylon brushes.

Topcoat: Rub on HF11 in a thin layer, and iron with a hot (150C) iron through a sheet of fiberlene, moving the iron slowly but constantly down the ski from tip to tail. AFter base cools, hand cork, and polish with a designated soft nylon polishing brush. Alt topcoat: HF3 Liquid applied over the top of HF11, and roto-corked.

Glidewax: Apply LF10 or MF10 Green, scraped while still warm. Apply HF10 GReen, scraping while still warm, and brush with metal and stiff nylon brushes.

Topcoat: Crayon on HF13 Block, and iron through a sheet of fiberlene. Hand-cork after ironing and letting cool. Polish with a designated fluor brush.

Gripwax: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply Base Wax with iron or torch. After Base cools, re-cork and and add 3-4 thin layers of Synthetic Green. Let cool, and apply 2 thin layers of Tar Green or Tar Black.

Grip: Clean and sand gripzone. Apply Base Wax with torch or iron. Apply Synthetic Green, 4 layers. Apply a layer of Tar Green, and cork smooth.

Forecast/conditions: Overnight low of 24F, temps at start 31. Manmade snow with fresh snow mixed in, machine groomed. Cloudy, little chance of precipitation.

Glidewax: Apply LF8 Blue, scraping while still warm and brushing. Apply HF4 Red, scrape and brush.

Topcoat: Apply HF11 block by crayoning the fluor onto the ski base. Iron through a piece of fiberlene, and hand-cork before brushing and polishing. Also fine to simply hand- or Roto-cork the HF11. Alternate topcoat: HFxt Purple Gel Finisher, hand-corked and brushed.

Gripwax: Sand grip zone, apply a layer of Base Wax. After Base cools, apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue. Then apply 2-3 layers of RF Racing Violet, covered with a thin layer of either RF Red or FHF60 Red.

Base: Rough up kick-zone with 150grit sandpaper. Iron in a thin layer of Start Base wax, cork smooth and let cool.

Grip: Apply 3 thin layers of Synthetic Green, shorter each layer. Cover with a thin layer of Start Tar Green.

Base: LF10 Green, scraped while wax is still warm, then brushed.

Glide: HF10 Green, scraped while wax is still warm, then brushed with fine steel or copper brush, followed by horsehair and hard nylon. 

Topcoat: HF9 Powder (-5...-15C) ironed, scraped lightly, and then brushed with horsehair, hard nylon, and finally polishing nylon. Re-brush prior to race start.

Gripwax:

Base: Rough base with 150grit sandpaper, and iron in a layer of Base Extra wax, corking and smoothing after ironing.

Grip: Apply 2 layers of Start Synthetic Blue, then 2 layers of Synthetic Green. Finish with a layer of Tar Green.

Grip: Apply 2 layers of Synthetic Blue. Then apply a layer of RF Red, then a second layer of RF Red blended with Oslo Racing Blue. Cork smooth.-
