Forecast/conditions: Cold nights in days leading up to Sunday, warming Saturday snow likely and highs in the 20s. Saturday night snow likely, lows in the 20s. Sunday snows likely, highs 25-35.

Glidewax:

Baselayer: LF8 or MF8 Blue, or if minimal new snow BM6 moly-fluor.

*if temperatures looks like it will warm to mid/upper 20s or low 30s then use option #1. If temps look like they are staying closer to 20, with Saturday overnight low in teens, then use option #2.

Glide Option #1: Warmer, mid/upper 20s, low 30s.

Option #1 Glider: HF6 or HFxt6 Purple. Possibly blend HF6 and HF8 for a little harder wax layer for 30K racers.

Option #1 Topcoat: HF11 block, ironed through a sheet of fiberlene, with a 2nd layer hand- or roto-corked. Alternate fluor: HF7 powder ironed, brushed-up, then ironed again. Hand- or roto-cork, let cool, and then brush completely. HFxt Red Finishing Gel on top of the HF11 or HF7 will be an excellent final layer, or can be used instead of those two for an easier quicker application of topcoat.

Glide Option #2: Colder, lower 20s:

Option #2 Glider: HF8 or HFxt Blue.

Option #2 Topcoat: HF11 and HF13 blocks rubbed on, and ironed together through a sheet of fiberlene. Let cool, and hand- or roto-cork. Rub on another layer of HF11, and hand-cork. Brush and polish.

HFxt Blue Finishing Gel will also be an excellent, either used alone on top of glider, or on top of the HF11/HF13 combo. Hand or roto-cork. Brush and polish.
